The site has an impervious runoff area to the detention basin of approximately 0.40 acres. The proposed addition will increase the impervious runoff to the detention basin by approximately 0.20 acres. Currently, the site has an existing detention basin and outlet structure. The outlet structure consists of a CL-type catch basin, frame and grate with a rectangular opening in the vertical face of the structure. The existing drainage assumes the existing building and parking lot have not been built. The proposed drainage combines the currently existing development plus the proposed addition and assumes the adjoining lot 3B will be developed. 609 FARMINGTON AVE.,SUITE 103,HARTFORD,CT 06105 (203)232-9833 3 s 675 . /, oo 300 C 2 % 68.7 .8 69.0 ----- _J--- 'o S IT— LOT 3A -10 LOT —----------- -- -- L3 Q' - --- --- --- - 0 40ATE w -------- t it t 'EX /S i/N G AREA -- -- -- -- - --5c-ALE--!--= -/ 6-0 - - - - TIME OF CONCENTRATION (OVERLAND FLOW ONLY) 1000 900 35 800 TOO 600 LO, 500 — IL " " 400 5 300 CLAY BARE EARTH \ 200 ' GRAVEL . \ 20 19 18 THIN GRASS 17 0. lE 100 = AVERAGE GRASS 1 / 5 . 90 -80 2 14 . 70 D E BR?SS 5 \ 13 Eo t1ND ' F LITT 12 10 by \ 50 20 it 40 \ , to 30 9 20 8 XCample "A" - .200', 2% Slope Average grass - Time 161 Mina "Br 00', 1% Slope Paved - Time 8 Min. 7 10 126 A - 12 6 :RAINFALL. This soil map unit consists of poorly drained and very poorly drained, disturbed land areas. They are most often found on landscapes that have been subject to prior filling and/or excavation activities. in general, this soil map unit occurs where two or more feet of the original soil surface has bean filled over, graded or excavated. The Aquerrts are characterized by a seasonal to prolonged high ground water table and either support or are capable of supporting wetland vegetation. Aquants are recently formed soils that have an aquic moisture regime. An aquic moisture regime is associated with a reducing soil environment that Is virtually free of dissolved o)Wgen because the soil is saturated by groundwater or by water of the capillary fringe. The key feature is the presence of a ground water table at or very near to the soil surface for a period*of fourteen days or longer during the growing season. Upland Soils Udorthents (Ud). This soil mapping unit consists of well dralned to moderately well drained soils that have been altered by cutting, filling,or grading. The areas either have had two feat or more of the upper part of the original soil removed or have more than two feet of fill material on top of the original soil. Udortherwo or Made Land soils can be found on any soil parent material but are typically fluvial on glacial till plains and outwash plains and stream terraces. Agawam sandy loam (Af). This series consists of deep, well drained soils formed in a coarso-loamy mantle underlain by sandy water deposited glacial outwash materials. They are level to very steep soils on outwash plains and high stream terraces. The soils formed in loamy over stratified sandy and gravelly glacial outwaoh derived mainly from crystalline rocks. Typically these soils have a dark grayish brown fine sandy loam surface layer 11 inches thick. The subsoil from 11 to 26 inches is dark yellowish brown and light olive brown fine sandy loam. The substratum from 26 to 55 inches Is olive and olive brown loamy fine sand.below 55 inches It is stratified fine sand to gravelly loamy sand. Ninigret fine sandy loam (Nn). This series consists of very deep moderately well drained soils formed In a coarso- loamy mantle underlain by sandy water deposited glacial outwash materials. They are nearly level to gently sloping soils on glaclofluviai landforms, typically in slight depressions and broad drainage ways. The soils formed in loamy over stratified sandy and gravelly outwash derived from a variety of acid rocks. Typically, these soils have a vary dark grayish brown fine sandy loam surface layer 6 inches thick. The subsoil from 6 to 26 Inches is yellowish brown fine sandy loam with mottles below 16 inches. The substratum from 26 to 650 Inches is mottled, pale brown, loose, stratified loamy sand.
