Appl. #545 Mary C. Faletti, 38 Hayes Road was granted as a variance and specific exception to allow for the conversion of an existing dwelling into a two family. The Board conditioned this approval stating it was granted "so long as the quarters are used by members of the immediate family of the present occupants". The property was sold a couple times since that approval. The house has been occupied as two-family with no other approvals granted by this Board. The current applicants would like to occupy the house and have the second unit as an in-law apartment. We advised them to apply to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
