Reference Application #1882-89, Modernization of an existing fuel
station located at 249 Oakland Road
Gentlemen:
At the meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals held on May 11, 1989 ,
variances were granted to section 5 . 2 of the zoning regulations to
allow impervious coverage of 68.4%; a 7 ' variance to the front yard
facing Oakland Road and a 49 ' variance for the front yard facing Felt
Road to allow construction of a canopy for a motor fuel station and a
variance to Section 4 . 4 .5 to be relieved of the buffer requirement on
property located at 249 Oakland Road, RC zone.
The permit is conditional upon site plan approval by the Planning &
Zoning Commission.
The hardship shown for the impervious coverage is that the impervious
coverage currently exists . The Commission does not consider the
canopy a building, thus allowing its construction and that this is a
corner lot on a non-existing road. The Commission felt there was not
adequate room on the site for the required buffer.
This action is effective May 11, 1989 and upon your filing of the
enclosed form in the Town Clerk' s office at your own expense.
