Thank you. JONES ANTIQUE SHOP T & C PH 2/25/97 1. Request for a temporary and conditional permit to allow the sale of antiques from an existing outbuilding at 1712 Main Street, A-40 zone. The applicant proposes to be open two days a week for either appointment visits or walk-in visits. 2. The lot size is 4 acres. The proposed shop is set back from the road over a hundred feet, thus providing a lot of space in the existing driveway for customer parking, with a turnaround area available in front of the existing barn. 3. The wording of the T & C regulation is that, "Temporary and conditional permits may be he by the Commission for a use which is not specified elsewhere in these regulations for a period not to exceed two years. Such approval may given after Public Hearing if, in the judgment of the Commission, the public convenience and welfare will be substantially or permanently injured and traffic and other hazards will not result from such use." There are no provisions in the regulations to allow for shops in residential zones, but retail uses are allowed in commercial zones. 4. If the applicant is proposing a sign, the regulations allow two square feet by right in that zone. 5.
