We, the owners of 6 Mountain View Road, are very concerned that our well was not chosen to be tested. Our well is located on the south end of our property, approximately 30 feet from our property line, directly adjacent to the planned construction zone. A well tested on Hillsdale Is approximately 400 yards from the planned construction zone, and we have been informed that it has been tested twice. We have also learned that Mr. and Mrs. Callahan, of Sullivan Avenue, have had their well tested twice. The Callahan's well Is not their primary source of drinking water. We find it difficult to believe that our well is of no concern for possible contamination or other possible effects due to the immediate proximity of its location to the planned construction of Collins Crossing. We have contacted Connnecticut Environmental Engineering, Design Professionals, and your office. Connecticut Environmental Engineering and Design Professionals have Informed us that they have no Intention of performing any testing concerning our property. I I( We are using this letter as a vehicle to record our deepest concerns to the obvious oversight of our property being excluded In any pre- construction testing. We are anxiously awaiting a response from any or all parties concerned.
