We would like to relocate Pudeler Engineering to 201 West Road, South Windsor, CT, and would like to use part of the proposed barn as an office . Pudeler Engineering would also like the possibility• of employing more than one employee . The proposed barn is not a residence and a building permit for our new residence, further back on the 24 acre parcel, is not planned for until the summer of 1994 . The proposed barn is a replacement of an existing and dilapidated structure . This barn, as proposed, would be used as garage, office and storage space . A building permit has been issued for a similar barn housing a garage and storage space . The exterior of the structures are very similar with all of the changes being made to the interior . The inclusion of the office space in our residence would locate the office far back on the parcel . The use of our residence for office would also require a larger structure and make separation of home and office more difficult . During the past two years Pudeler Engineering has had no employees and has relied on part time help only when necessary. Site Engineering and Land Surveying are very construction orientated and work volume varies . Surveying work is performed at the survey site and only partially in the office; therefore, the number of Pudeler Engineering employees would not be the number of people working in the office . Our barn site has been chosen to facilitate easy access and good display of our home grown Christmas Trees and farm produce . Pudeler: At the meeting of the South Windsor Zoning Board of Appeals held on December 2, 1993, your request for a two (2) year temporary and conditional permit for an engineering business ` in a proposed barn at 201 West Road, RR Zone, was denied. The reason for denial was that it was a request for a commercial business in a residential zone. Very truly yours, Robert W. Warren, Chairman 3 Zoning Board of Appeals RW: jh i t
