This sign measures 18"x108" and is 6" thick . It utilizes two flourescent light bulbs and is attached to the buildin5. face directly as shown in the sketches and photos. the building face sign coloration is: Sign box: Clear brushed aluminum, 0.125" thick. Sign face: Cardinal Red. letters on a white face. The electrical system uses 110-120 volts and two flourescent light bulbs. Early and clear visibility of the Mign mounted on the restaurant face is restricted by existing treed from view by approaching automobile traffic on Route 5. This fact necessitated use of a free-standing sign located, as shown, between the parking lot and the John Fitch Blvd. The remote sign is to be located on State-owned land. Contact has been made with the State of Connecticuts Property Management Division and the Rights of Way Dividion. A request has been filed with the State to secure an encroachment permit to allow the desired remote sign. The sign will kt not be installed prior to receipt of the encroachment permit. Since action with the State will require 4-6 months to complete, the South Windsor REstaurant & Pizza requests an additional six month variance to place a temporoay 41x8' plywood sign on restaurant property. The location of this temporary sign is shown on the Plot Plan, immediately South of the parking tot space #1, just aft of the light pole. This sign would be relettered on the existing 41x8' sign currently on company property. The sign will use Cardinal Red letters on a white background. The sign will be double-faced. The sign will be ground-mounted with the top of the sign to be 8' above ground level.
