We load all our equipment up each Sunday, carry it into the school , set up and then tear down, transport and store everything two hours later after our worship service. We really need our own building and we are looking for land here in South Windsor to build a church. However, that process is looking definitely longer than we had anticipated. A temporary solution would be to rent until we could find land and build. There is nothing, to our knowledge, available in the proper zone for us to even consider. We have negotiated with Mr. Robert Lavey, to rent the building at 251 Sullivan Ave. for a three year period, contingent upon all the necessary Town Approvals . The building at 251 Sullivan Ave. that Mr. Lavey has to offer is exactly what we need for the next few years. It will facilitate us nicely with minimal changes to bring the building into compliance. Parking won't pose a problem as we will have unlimited use of the parking spaces in the Industrial area that he owns in the adjoining property, nights and weekends when we need it most and the Industrial area isn' t in use . We have been in contact with the town Building Inspector and Fire Marshall and will be bringing the building into compliance with their recommendations . Thank you for considering our request. Having our own place will hopefully begin to establish our identity in the community and make a statement about our desire to permanently establish our church here in South Windsor.
