(48 _Cdlivan Avenue) ° Dates Requested: 9124194 — 1#17194 Dear Mr. Lewis: The Greater Hartford Jaycees, a non-profit charitable volunteer organization providing community service in the Greater Hartford region for 50 years, requests the use of a state owned property under the present control of your office, for the purpose of our sixth annual Halloween Haunted House. This event is part of our community development area, specifically community fundraising; the profits from this event benefit both an international and several local.children's charities. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control this year, we find ourselves in need of a new site to hold this truly worthwhile event. Our organization has contacted several town officials regarding our intentions and their reaction has been both enthusisaistic and cooperative. Please be assured we will meet all safety and security requirements of the Town of South Windsor and that we are adequately insured for such activities (a copy of our certificate of insurance will be provided to your. office) . The Greater Hartford Jaycees has an excellent reputation with the State of Connecticut, having dealt with your department in the past regarding the Canon Greater Hartford Open and other charitable endeavors. We look forward to hearing from you regarding this request and hopefully being able to work with you for the sake of the children. If you have any questions please contact myself at 242-4046 or leave a message at the Greater Hartford Jaycees office at 522-4171.
