Zoning Board of Appeals

South Windsor, Conn. 06074
Dear Chairman:
The South Windsor Agricultural Land Preservation Commission strongly
encourages the Zoning Board of Appeals full consideration in evaluating
the Reichle's proposal .
Their proposal certainly alligns itself with the philosophy of our
Commission - to encourage the continued use and preservation of
agricultural land in the Town of South Windsor.
Your acceptance will offer them the ability to utilize their land to
better fullfill their needs and also the needs of the town, in that fresh
produce will be available for sale over a longer time period throughout
the year.
This Commission will continue to support proposals of this type in the
future where farmland related issues are involved.
Very truly yours,
S W A L P A

Dear Mr. Reichle:
Re: ZBA Application #1790-88
At the '_March 10 , 1988 meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals ,
the board denied your request for a variance to Section 4. 2 . 4b
and 4. 1. 14 of the Zoning Regulations to allow a farm stand on
property located on Buckland Road, but have granted a two year
Temporary and Conditional permit for a temporary and removeable
roadside stand as defined in Section 4 . 1. 4b with use permitted
for 8 months in each of the two years. The stand should be
40 feet from the road with ample off street parking provided.
The board noted that the plans presented with the application for
a variance which was not approved was not of a temporary and remove-
able nature.
This action is effective March 25 , 1988. The permit will have to
be renewed in two years if you wish to continue this use.
Very truly yours ,
