( OR TEMPORARY AND CONDITIONAL PERMIT FOR
OR AN APPEAL FROM THE ZONING OFFICER'S DECISION INVOLVING

in question.)
Is this property within 500 feet of another town line? No
State clearly the unusual hardship or exceptional difficulty that prompts this application,
and indicate why other options are unacceptable. (Use a separate sheet of paper if necessary)
We would like to put an above ground 27' diameter swimming pool near the north side boundary
no closer than 6' from the line (a variance of up to 14' from the current RR 20' side yard
requirement) . There are several reasons for this variance request: ( 1) the back yard is heavily
wooded and there is a steep incline toward the back boundary, so the pool needs to be close to
the house; (2) the well is located behind the house and we must have access when problems occur; '
?) this location, per the attached plan, is the only section of the back yard that receives a
ood deal of sun, the rest of the back yard is heavily shaded.

Mr . Charles Eastwood CERTIFIED MAIL
617 Foster Street
South Windsor, CT 06074
Dear Mr. Eastwwod :
This is to notify you that the South Windsor Zoning Board of
Appeals voted to grant your request for a variance to Section
5 . 2 of the Zoning Regulations to allow an above-ground swimming
pool with no permant structure within 6 feet of the side yard
at property at 617 Foster Street, South Windsor.
The Board noted that this would be a 14 foot variance and that the
contours of the property and the location of the well created
a hardship for the placement of the pool within the regular
zoning regulations .
This action will take effect May 22 , 1987 and upon your filing
of the enclosed form in the Town Clerk ' s Office at your own
expense.
Very truly yours ,
a .
