Is this property within 500 feet of another town line? No State clearly the unusual hardship or exceptional difficulty that prompts this application, and indicate why other options are unacceptable. (Use a separate sheet of paper if necessary) . George & Maureen Sabatino' s 7-Eleven store is recessed a distant 140 feet from the main entrance on Ellington Road. The building is positioned at an awkward 45' angle away from Ellington Road. As a consequence of the above description, the store is not visible to motorists traveling northbound until their vehicle has essentially gone beyond the Ellington Road entrance. Often, the motorists unawareness of the store' s location causes a spontaneous and abrupt decrease in vehicle speed once the store has been sited, or conversely, the result is to enter the parking lot at an excessive speed. We believe that a sign (dimensions and graphics enclosed) placed at the corner of Ellington and_Plesant Valley Roads will aid motorists and enhance the traffic flow on Ellington Road.
