Mr. Russell E. Desrocher

Dear Mr. Desrocher:
Due to the fact that the proposed location for Russ's Automotive at 518B
Burnham Street is located within one-half mile of another garaae situated
on the same side of the street, a variance to Section 3.13.1 of the Town
of South Windsor Zoning Regulations is required. Since your application did
not request a variance to this Section, the Board decided to readvertise and
rehear your request at the next meeting to be held June 13, 1985.
Please consider this as notice of this public hearing which will begin at
7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the South Windsor Town Hall, 1540 Sullivan
Avenue, South Windsor. Someone must be present at the hearing to represent
the application. In addition, the sign purchased from the Planning Department
must again be displayed on the property to be visible from all public streets
at least 10 days prior to the hearing. Also, as requested of you last month,
it will be necessary for you to submit a legal description of the property in
question prior to any variances becoming effective.
There will be no additional fees for you to pay.

Dear Ms. Perkins :
Re: ZBA Application #1605-85 , Russell E.
Desrocher d/b/a Russ ' s Automotive
Public hearings on the above application were held on May 9
and June 13 , 1985 . The application and advertisements listed
the address as 518B Burnham Street, rather than 516B Burnham
Street. This discrepancy did not affect the Zoning Board of
Appeal' s action on the application since:
- 516B and 518B are part of the same complex of buildings, and
neither is substantially closer to neighbors .
- A site plan submitted at the public hearings correctly
identified the proposed location without using building numbers.
- During the public hearing and subsequent discussions by the
Board, building numbers were not used to identify the proposed
location.
- At the July 18 , 1985 meeting the discrepancy was brought to
the attention of the Board, and it was determined that no further
action would be required.
If you need any further information regarding this matter, please
do not hesitate to contact me.
Very truly yours,
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
