You,or someone representing you, must be present. The sign you claim to have in your possession must be displayed on the property at least 10 days prior to the public hearing in a location visible from all public streets. A legal description of the property must be submitted the night of the hearing. This is very important. Without the legal description this variance cannot become effective. Enclosed is a receipt for the application fee of $30. The $5. cost of the sign was waived since you already have a sign. In voting to deny this application the Board noted the uncertain status of the adjacent land which may become contiguous open space. If this land designated as flood control area is not actually taken by the State and does not become open space, this open space subdivision would not be in keeping with the South Windsor Comprehensive Plan of Development. Conversely, if the flood control land is taken and does become open space, the requirements of Section 5.3.c of the Zoning Regulations are fulfilled, and a variance would not be required.
