TITLE
Listed below are:
A. Thp reasons for wanting this type of fence.
1. Headlights from cars traveling on a newly created street
directly across Pleasant Valley Road from my back property
shine into my home at night.
2. This street has also eliminated any existing privacy in my back
yard.
3. Litter discarded by passing pedestrians and motorists along
with dust and engine pollution from passing cars and trucks
sweep across the back yard making lawn maintenance almost
impossible. Also, a fence of this type would help muffle the
noise of passing traffic.
4. Rather than use the road and sidewalk many people living the Le
Foll area cut through my back property.
B. The reasons why other options are unacceptable.
1. Another type of fence might discourage pedestrian traffic
through my yard, however, it would not help control litter,
dust and noise pollution, lights from oncoming traffic and
total lack of privacy.
2. Constructing the fence close to the house would deprive me of
the use of much of my land.
The construction of this fence would in no way obstruct the visibility of
motorists turning corners or entering and leaving driveways. It would
enhance the appearance of my property as well as the entire neighborhood.

CERTIFIED MAIL
Ms. Eleanor Dunn
12 LeFoll Boulevard
South Windsor, CT 06074
Dear Ms. Dunn:
This is to advise you that the South 'Windsor Zoning Board of Appeals
voted to grant a 20-foot variance from the building line to allow
construction of a six-foot stockade fence on property located on the
corner of LeFoll Boulevard and Pleasant Valley Road, South Windsor,
(A-20 Zone) .
In approving this request the Board noted that a hardship existed due
to the 50-foot building line requirement on a corner lot, and the heavy
traffic on Pleasant Valley Road. Concerns of sight line due to the
corner lot were not applicable to this application.
This action is effective June 22, 1984, and upon your filing of the
enclosed form in the Town Clerk's Office at the South Windsor Town
Hall.
Very truly yours,
Robert Warren, Chairman
Zoning Board of Appeals
