Mr. Arthur A. Roe

Dear Mr. Roe:
Your application to the South Windsor Zoning Board of Appeals requesting
a variance to Section 5.2 of the Zoning Regulations to allow (1) a
building lot (1.4+ acres) with less than the required lot width and
(2) a rear lot (25 acres) with less than the required lot width, on
property located on the west side of Main Street known as 1299 Main
Street, South Windsor, was denied.
In denying this request the Board noted that the requested 48 foot
right of way to the rear would render the existing lot at 1299 Main
Street con—conforming, which would be a self created hardship. In
addition, the Board could find no hardship to warrant the approval of
a rear building lot as requested in the application.
Very truly yours,
Thomas Murrin, Chairman
Zoning Board of Appeals
