Gentlemen: RE: Appeal No. 1233-78 Your application to the South Windsor Zoning Board of Appeals requesting a variance to Section 4. 5, Article 4. 4.7 to allow a sign to extend beyond the integral part of the building on premises known as Colony Shops, 984 Sullivan Avenue, Zone GC, has been approved in an attempt to help improve the opportunity for success at that location. The Board felt it would be beneficial to advertise the type of busi- ness and would not harm the surrounding area. The sign allowed will be in the shape of an isosceles triangle 15 feet at the base, 8 feet high, protruding 3. 5 feet above the present roof. Any lighting will be by flood lights.
