In the approved site plan, Resource Renewal , Inc . proposed to construct 44,000 square feet of industrial building to the east of their existing office building. The site improvements include two buildings: one 35,000 s. f. building will be used to sort and bundle recyclable material ; and another 9000 s.f buildinq will provide covered storage for clean pre-sorted recyclable material . There will also be 1 .9 acres of view pavement constructed for parking spaces, loading areas, and roadway. The site plan is being modified by the addition of a one half acre gravel lot . This lot will be south of the existing and proposed site facilities on other land controlled by Reliable Refuse Inc . The gravel lot will be used for the storage of empty and cleaned dumpsters. The lot will be graded to drain to the catch basin being proposed as catch basin #6 in the approved site plan. Using the rational method , the expected stormwater discharge for the gravel lot was conducted . A storm magnitude equivalent to the ten year return frequency was used . After determining flow rate for the lot discharge the storm sewer system was checked computer solution of Manning ' s equation, assuming inlet control unless there was significant tailwater at the discharge point for the pipes. In the original report of February 26, an extensive analysis Ft fhft ORkFi itipil b-4sire iy, crrnd+►icted Wsing thR 2, Ir:i, f35, 50, and 100 year return frequency storm events, in both the existing and proposed conditions. The detention basiii analysis was conducted using a computer- model ( BASINA) . The discharge from the gravel parking lot is combined with the discharge from the detention basin at the catch basin immediately downstream from the detention basin. The discharge is added in a time-wise fashion from the detention basin flow to assess the impact on downstream structures and to check existing and post development runoff conditions. SUMMARY Since all peak discharges from the basin will be less than in the existing conditions , the additional flow from the proposed gravel lot will not adversely impact downstream drainage structures. Peak discharges from the site will remain near or at present rates.
