Shepard Co. - Removal of Sand, Gravel, etc. Mr. Shepard was in the 1r *= audience and was asked to explain what this application was about. He said he's - basically doing what Mitchell is doing across the road. He wishes to fill in an area with a mixture of stone and fill, which would make gravel, and eventually scants to erect a buildingon the site. He presented a key map and grading plan Tor this site on Governor's Highway. Mr. Page said he was familiar with the site a and approves of the concept, however, he didn't feel they should be given carte blanche. Mr. Shepard roughly estimated they may eventually move about 10 to 15 thousand yards, and said they will not go near the pond on the . property, and that they have commenced filling since the material was available and had to be used. Gay moved that Shepard Company be allowed to proceed with filling in this area, subject to approval of the Town Engineer. Mr. Page explained that Industronics was withdrawing Y its previous application since the time for acting was expiring and no further cxtensions could be granted, and that they were re-filing the application. It was Brought out that an 18' variance was necessary and Industronics was filing an application with the Zoning Board of Appeals.
