MEMORANDUM August 1, 1989
TO: Marcia A. Banach, Director of Planni
FROM: Jerry C. Iazzetta, Town Engineer
RE: Metals Testing Site Plan #89-59
We have reviewed the proposed Metals Testing Site Plan drawings dated
7-21-89 and have the following comments:
1 . Key Map - the stormwater drainage arrows are needed showing
direction of flow. Also the Sanitary Sewer laterals need to
be labeled.
2. Site Plan/Grading Plans do not indicate handicap ramp onto
sidewalk.
3. Grading, Utility Plan -
a) Size and type pipe, and inverts at building, manhole are
required for sanitary laterals. Also there is a symbol @s
shown after the sampling tank - is this a new manhole? If so
top of frame and invert elevations are required as well as a
detail of the manhole.
b) Roof drain connected to the existing 6" PVC does not
indicate the size and type of new pipe. Also it is
recommended that the roof drain on the west side of the
building (at right angle corner) also be tied into the storm
water system.
c) The 72 contour at the Kimberly Drive driveway needs to be
re-examined. It appears that a minor modification could
improve the stormwater drainage in that area of the parking
lot.
I have given my set of drawings to Mr. Fred Shaw, Supt. of Pollution
Control, for his review of the sanitary system proposed (i.e. holding
tank and sampling tank) and have asked that he comment separately on
this item.

Dear Mr. Delisle:
In regard to your letter of August 23, 1989, I am satisfied that
there will be no substantive change in the quantity or the
quality of the industrial process wastewater discharge to the
Town's sewerage system relative to the existing facility.
It is my understanding, as well, that the Town will be copied on
any new DEP permit application.
Therefore, all of my questions have been answered in regard to
the above application.
