Since this disclosure point is at the lower end of a 300 acre watershed, there will not be a measurable effect on the peak flow in Stoughton Brook. Because of timing, there could be a slight decrease in peak but it would be too small to measure. The area used is 2.52 acres which is only that part of the site which is being changed by the proposed construction. Also attached are copies of charts from Conn. Dept. of Transportation Drainage Manual which show that modified riprap is ample for the uses shown. 1216B88RB STORM WATER CALCULATIONS 1216B88RB Inlet S tat.on and Offset - I IRI 1 1001 !0 Iv-; I Time to inlet- _ l r _1 Area in acres Runoff Coefficient I1il ! lid IAz III IlII' , , I ! WINDSOR PLANNING DEPT% RE: Gerber Scientific Products - #89- The Engineering Department has reviewed the revised drawings dated 4-21-89, Sheets SC-1 to SC-7 and the Storm Drainage Calculations for the subject project and have the following comments . 1 . Sheet SC-2 is shown as a Class D survey standard and is not sufficient for construction. 2 . Sheet SC-2, Location Map does not show flow of all storm drainage on site. 3 . The Fire Marshal should evaluate the 30 foot radius cul- de-sac area of the parking lot. 4 . The drainage calculations indicate an increase of . 8 cfs is generated by the proposed improvements and is not detained but is discharged directly into the Brook. In view of Planning & Zoning's "zero increase" policy, this item must be addressed by that Commission. JCl/JSV cc: Michael J. It is requested a determination be made whether permission can be granted for a building permit to be used by the building department which would allow Gerber to add approximately 2000 sq . ft. to the existing building structure. This appendage would be used for a manufacturing process. This usage does not add additional people or vehicles to the usage of the facility . The structure would be a single story, matching decor with no windows. The foot print will be approximately 33.3 ft. x 60 ft. (2000 sq. ft . ) The existing structure is 242 .17 ft. or 403 .56 ft. or 97, 730. 12 sq. ft. The 2000 sq. ft . addition permits a building foot print of 99730 sq. ft.
