In r sponse to the request received by your department for a bond
redu tion on the Clover Meadow Subdivision, we have made a field
sury y of the project. It is our recommendation that the bond be
redu ed to $100,000 only after the roadway excavation areas have
been restored and soil and erosion control measures implemented.
It i our understanding that the savings passbook being held is
for arosion and control. It will, therefore, be your staff' s
decision as to whether or not to release this bond.

RE: Clover Meadow
Clover Meadow subdivision has requested a reduction of their bond, to
the amount f $100,000. On Feburary 3, 1989 the Engineering Dept.
expressed concern with erosion and sedimentation controls and left it
to the Planning Department to deem whether or not the bond should be
reduced. At that time the request was put on hold until the start of
the growing eason.
A field survey of the site indicates temporary vegetation is coming
in along the roadway excavation area. Although I have some concerns
with the erosion and sedimentation controls we are holding a bond for
the site on ehalf of Inland Wetlands Agency/Conservation Commission.
I feel the bond we are holding is adequate for the erosion and
Bedimentatioi controls and therefore would recommend a reduction of
the subdivision bond as deemed appropriate.
