Re: Applica n . 1377-80 - Linda Veilleux
Dear
The referenced application to the South Windsor Zoning Board of Appeals
requesting variances of Article 5, Section 5.2.1 to allow building
closer to sideline and front line than permitted on premises known as
190 (Lot A) Abbe Road, South Windsor, Zone A-30 has been granted.
The Board voted to grant this application for a northern sideline
variance of four feet and a front line variance of thirty-three feet
subject to subdivision approval of the Planning & Zoning Com-nission
because the building predated zoning and may qualify for registry as
an historic building.
This action is effective May 14, 1980 and upon filing of the enclosed
form in the Town Clerk's Office.
Very trul s,
Wa Chr' pher Gerlt, Chairman

Dear Mr. McLaughlin:
I have your letter of May 9, 1980, and the two maps included therein.
I understand your inquiry to be concerned with which of these maps is the
legal zone change map as to the Planning and Zoning Commission's official
actions back on October 17, 1972. I do not believe it necessary, in order
to answer your question, that I review the Planning and Zoning Commission
minutes, applications, etc. , with respect to this zone change. The
October 17, 1972 zone change map filed in the Town Clerk's Office bearing
the imprimatur of the Planning and Zoning Commission is the legal map of
record. It solely addresses the particular property in question, whereas
the 1978 zoning map comprehensively addresses the Town as a whole. It
seems to me that the extactitude of the dimensions in the latter map seem
to be the source of your problem. If that is indeed the case, you may
disregard same in light of the foregoing opinion as to which map controls.
Also, please note that we have not passed on the question of the accuracy
of those metes and bounds shown and reflected on the 1972 map.
If I may be of further service or assistance to you, please advise.
Thank you for your courtesy.
Very truly yours,

Dear Messrs. Lucek and Maskel:
Re: Property on east side of Abby Road (App. #720)
Due to a misinterpretation of the zoning map at the February 5, 1980
meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission, you were incorrectly
advised that a portion of the above land was located in an RR zone.
We now find that the entire piece of land is located within the A-30
zone,
We are sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused you in this
matter.*
