Dear Bill: -
Attached is a copy of a resolution approved by the Town Council
authorizing the Town Manager to enter into a lease agreement
with the South Windsor Historical Society for the use of the
Pleasant Valley School House on Ellington Road.
The Historical Society would maintain the building and grounds,
be responsible for all utilities, and in general, would enhance
and improve the existing structure. Council has indicated
agreement to a 10 year lease with a five-year renewal option,
with the details to be worked out with the Town Manager and
Town Attorney.
I have advised Mrs. Kyc, President of the Historical Society,
that she should present her plans for use of the building to
the Planning and Zoning Commission for approval. She has
indicated that she would be available for your Commission's
July 26th meeting. Final arrangements will be confirmed by
Paul Talbot.
Very truly yours,
