1. Application and supplements must be filed in triplicate.
2. Application must be typewritten or printed in ink.
3. The applicant or his representative must be present at the Commission Meeting.
4. Application Fee of $25.00 required for filing Items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 to defray expenses.
Applications, other than for subdivisions, shall be accompanied with three copies of a map, minimum size 812 x
11 inches, drawn to scale showing the land, buildings present and proposed, plot depths and measurements, street
and building lines, also a measured distance to nearest street corner, names of abutting property owners, and a
sufficient portion of surrounding area to make such a map readily intelligible, and the subject property either
shaded or cross-hatched.
If approved, the Zoning Commission reserves the right to request and the applicant hereby consents to furnish,
within sixty days following approval, three maps prepared by a qualified civil engineer or surveyor showing the
items above.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Bourn:
This is to notify you that the Planning and Zoning Commission voted to
approve your application to raise thoroughbred horses on property located
at 1235 Sullivan Avenue, subject to the following conditions:
1. All applicable provisions of Section 4.1.10 of the Zoning Regulations
of the Town of South Windsor shall be complied with.
2. The maximum number of horses kept on this property shall be ten (10).
3. The horses shall not be pastured within 55 feet of the wetlands area
on this property. This 55-foot buffer strip shall have grassy
vegetation to insure adequate drainage.
4. The pastures for keeping the horses shall be rotated to insure continued
vegetation growth.
5. Provisions shall be made to insure adequate water for the horses.
6. The Town of South Windsor Inland-Wetlands Agency shall be contacted,
and any additional recommendations made by it shall be adhered to.

TOWN OF SOUTH WINDSOR
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
At the September 13, 1977 meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission
voted to approve, with conditions, the application of Allan and Katherine Bourn,
20 School Road, Andover, Connecticut to raise thoroughbred horses in
accordance with Section 4.1.10 of the Zoning Regulations on property located at
1235 Sullivan Avenue, South Windsor in a RR Zone.
