Chairman Louise Evans and
Commissioners of Planning and Zoning
Town of South Windsor
South Windsor , Connecticut
Dear Madam Chairman and Commissioners :
Re : P & Z 12/16/86 Agenda Item ( 2 )
Application #1200 - Helen Stozus and Albert Setsky
As propertyowners who reside on West Road--a road whose size is
such that all its residents live within the immediate area of the
referenced property--we are adamantly opposed to the zone change
being proposed for this parcel of land .
We are alarmed that the creation of a General Commercial Zone is
being suggested and requested this far into a specified "wetlands"
and residential area ; and , obviously , we are adamantly opposed to
its creation . In this area , commercial sites should be confined to
Sullivan Avenue--and even in the case of the parcels on the west
and east corners of Sullivan and West , requests should be closely
monitored to allow only those enterprises compatible with , and
adjacent to , the Town ' s largest and most protected wetlands area .
Since we are unable to attend this evening ' s Planning and Zoning
Public Hearing , we wish to have this letter made a part of the
record ; and strongly urge the Commission to deny this application .
Thank you for your consideration .
Sincerely ,
Herbert and Patricia Brown
