We send out renewal notices for all surety at least two months prior to the surety expiration date, and further reminders at least one month prior to the expiration date, yet we constantly receive the surety renewal on the day that the surety expires . Even then, it seems that the only reason we receive any renewal is because we devote a large amount of staff time to calling your bonding agents, bonding company, your staff, your bank, attorney etc. Mike, we know that you always provide us with the necessary surety. It seems extremely unnecessary for us to constantly be placed in the position of having to decide whether to call the bond or letter of credit on the day it expires because we have not received an extension. Please pass along whatever instructions are necessary to your staff/agents to renew surety in a timely fashion so that we may avoid any further problems of this type!
