The process involves the property owner contacting JMJ Construction Company at 658 Ellington Road, South Windsor(tel. no. 282-0628)to make arrangements for the payment of the sewer assessment. In accordance with the agreement with the Town, the contractor may not charge an assessment rate greater than the Town rate. In applying the Town rates the assessment should not exceed the following: Base Cha Frontage Frontage Charge _Lateral Charge Total Assessment $1,500.00 123 ft. $3,075 $750.00 $5,325.00 The contractor must notify the Town that payment arrangements have been completed before the Town may issue a Drain Layer's Permit for the sewer connection. An additional fee— Connection Charge of$750 payable to the Town is also required for the issuance of the permit. The Public Works Engineering Division in the Town Hall issues permits to licensed and bonded drain layers. Please feel free to contact this office if you have any further questions.
