A. Wells 509 Ellington Road South Windsor, CT 06074 Dear Ms. Wells: I have researched the problem you have brought to my attention and have found the following. There is no indication in Town records that you are connected to the sanitary sewer; no permit has been issued for 509 Ellington Road and no sewer user fee is being collected for 509 Ellington Road. The original plot plan shows a septic system in the front yard with the septic tank being located about 25 feet out from the house. The sewer plan shows that the lateral (place where house can be connected to the sewer) is located opposite the southerly corner of your house. I have enclosed a copy of the portion of Map # Contract M— Sheet 27 showing this location. I am also enclosing a copy of the original plot plan. It is likely that Roto Router could not go further than 30 feet because he has entered the septic tank with his equipment. I gathered from our conversation that you were unaware that you are connected to a septic system. This may mean that the tank is full and the system is unable to function. Cleaning the tank may resolve your problem. I hope this information will be of assistance to you. If you continue to have a problem after having your septic tank cleaned,please contact me for referral or contact Fred Shaw, Superintendent of Pollution Control at the Town Hall to connect to the sanitary sewer.
