Re: Connection to Sanitary Sewer
Dear Mr. Dumouchel:
The following information is provided for your use relative to connection to the sanitary sewer main
on Ellington Road.
The Town has executed a developer's agreement with Kellco whereby the developer may receive a
portion of his costs for the sewer installation from those property owners who connect to the main
line sewer on Ellington Road. Said cost cannot exceed the Town assessment rate in effect at the
time of connection.
The Agreement requires that the property owner finalize payment arrangements with the developer �P
(Kellco-644-8140) before connection to the sewer. When such arrangements have been completed, �rl�
the developer will notify the Town in order that the property owner may obtain a drain layers permit ''`
from Town for the sewer connections. p� I
The payment to the developer does not include the costs to install the building sewer from the sewer
lateral to the house. This cost is the responsibility of the property owner.
Furthermore, additional fees are due to the Town at the time of permit application. These fees o it
include a permit fee of$60.00, a connection charge of$912.00, and a prorated annual user charge by T'6
(annual charge $216.00).
The current assessment rates(through June 30, 2005)as applied to the property at 855 Ellington
Road can be summarized as follows:
Base Charge . $ 1,824.00
Frontage Charge($30/ft. x 80 ft) 2,400.00
Lateral charge 912.00
$5,136.00
