It would be further than 25 ' (approx. 371 ) from his well. This is acceptable if proper construction materials are used per code. The installer, Mr. Throwe, was planning to use proper pipe; however, he had an unfamiliar fitting. In checking with the State Health Department it was determined this fitting was not acceptable--he obtained the proper fitting. He stated he felt we were giving him a hard time. The lateral trench from the street into the property was being dug to angle closer to the well at 266 Abby Road. The contractor was advised to dig very close to a shrub type tree to ensure the minimum 25 , separating distance was maintained. He said that he would just tell the property owner that the inspector told him to take out the tree. Neither myself nor Mr. Braddock told him to remove the tree.
