I am calling Governor Grasso' s Office to obtain any
information regarding the Governor's position, either
public or private, regarding the I-91, I-284 question;
and will forward a copy of any information I receive
to each Member of the Council.
I would hope that each Member of the Town Council who .
either abstained orTvoted "No, " reconsider the establish-
ment of a Town Planner position. I feel, the present
request of the Town Manager for consulting fees for
planning purposes is but the first of many such requests.
The rapid development and growth in South Windsor and
surrounding communities requires us to plan ahead on
issues regarding transportation, zone changes, and
other critical areas affecting Town development; and
we must begin anticipating situations requiring policy
decisions, and move away from our present reactionary
response to problems.
